iPhoto Template
Monday August 21st, 2006
Are you tired of the iPhoto icon? Apparently it's not an uncommon feeling. The other day I happened upon this custom template by Ben Miller.
I started to tinker with his version, which uses the standard camera, which appears to be a generalized version of the Canon S400—my first digital camera. I created a nifty icon with a picture I took in Paris last year. The picture was taken with the Canon 20D that I bought just prior to the trip. Since the 20D is now my main camera I figured it should be on my iPhoto icon. Thus the idea for this template was born.
After I made my version, I figured I'd be altruistic and make a version all digital EOS owners could use—even those who probably use a different application with their more expensive cameras, such as Aperture. That's right, it's all here from the D30 to the 30D. I even included a 20Da, though I had to Photoshop it since I couldn't find a frontal image of it with a lens on it.
